Irfan Master

Irfan Master is the author of A Beautiful Lie, which was published by Bloomsbury and shortlisted for the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize and Branford Boase Award for debut authors. He recently had a short story, “The Always Woman,” published in an anthology of original and diverse stories on the theme of home by Leicestershire writers (Dhalia Publishing, 2016). Irfan has had stories published for a graphic novel anthology, been commissioned to write a radio play by Leicester University, and written a short story for Booktrust (“Once Upon a Time”) that was adapted into a touring show aimed at Bangladeshi, Pakistani, and Somali families; the tour visited prisons, libraries, and community centres to encourage and celebrate storytelling. There were fifty shows across England and Wales. His forthcoming novel for young adults, Out of Heart, will be published by Hot Key Books in 2017.
